Copying Kate Middleton? Kim Kardashian Met Royal Wedding Dress Designer For Vogue Shoot

Could she wear Alexander McQueen at her wedding in May?

Kim Kardashian has hinted that she may go for an Alexander McQueen gown when she marries Kanye West in May after gushing that the Sarah Burton designed gown was her favourite of all the dresses she wore for her recent Vogue shoot.

The 33 year-old bride to be was unveiled on the cover of the magazine last week along with fiance Kanye West. In the Anna Wintour approved spread Kim dons a series of wedding gowns. Speaking to Seth Meyers earlier this week she revealed the lengths she had to go to to keep the details of the shoot secret.

"I mean, I even had to fly to London to go meet with Sarah Burton from McQueen and that was a top secret mission in itself because I landed and all the paparazzi were there," she confessed.

"I had to figure out how to get into this office without anyone seeing me, because if it leaked that we really shot this, then the cover — I didn't even think the cover was an option — would definitely have been out of the cards for us."

Later she tweeted a picture of herself wearing the Alexander McQueen gown saying, "One of my fave pictures from our @VogueMagazine shoot".

So could Kim be going for the same designer as Kate chose for her wedding day? In 2011 the then Kate Middleton walked down the aisle of Westminster Abbey in a custom made Alexander McQueen gown, worth a reported £250,000.

Like Kim's visit, the creation of the gown was in complete secrecy, with seamstresses from the Royal School of Needlework working at royal palace Hampton Court. We're pretty sure Kim doesn't have that king of regal power behind her, but we're sure her dress will more than rival Kate's.
