'Sorry Mrs. Drizzy': Jay Z Ignites Scathing Rap Feud With Drake Over Rolling Stone Diss

Playful banter or serious shots?

Jay Z isn't exactly known for holding his tongue but fans will be shocked to hear his scathing attack on Drake during his verse on Jay Electronica's new single 'We Made It,' responding to the Young Money rapper's diss in a recent interview – and it's not for the faint-hearted.

'Started From The Bottom' rapper Drake boldly took shots at Jay Z, 44, in his controversial interview with Rolling Stone magazine last month when he slammed the rapper for constantly boasting about his expensive art collection in his songs.

Blasting back on his verse on the latest single from his protege Jay Electronica, a remix of Soulja Boy's track, Jay Z spits: “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk.

“Silly me rappin’ about s**t that I really bought/ while these rappers rap about guns they ain't shot/and a bunch of other silly s**t that they ain't got.”

In his Rolling Stone interview, Drake complained: “It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references. I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”

While it may come as a surprise to most considering Jay Z features on Drake's latest album 'Nothing Was The Same,' it's not the first time Drake has been accused of having a pop at the hip-hop heavyweight – back in 2011, he appeared to throw shade at the rapper and his Watch The Throne partner Kanye West on DJ Khaled's anthem 'I'm On One.'

“I’m just feelin’ like the throne is for the taking/Watch me take it,” Drake raps.

The feud will no doubt cause some tension for Jay Z's wife Beyonce who is known to be good friends with the Young Money star, collaborating together on 'Mine' which features on the diva's latest album.
