The American TV audience for the 78th Academy Awards bombed.
Audience figures were down by 8% on last years viewing figures with only 38.8million people tuning in.
The ceremony lasted 3 hours and was hosted by the controversial TV presenter Jon Stewart.
It is thought that viewing figures have dropped due to the high brow nature of films vying for the big awards including Brokeback Mountain and Goodnight and Good Luck.
In other Oscar news, the BBC are reporting today that film distributors Pathe are planning on re-releasing winner of the Best Film award Crash; seven months after it was originally released.
