She may not have won her second Oscar but Jennifer Lawrence was still full of smiles at last night’s star-studded ceremony as she sat with on-off boyfriend, the hunky Nicholas Hoult who provided a much needed shoulder to cry on after newcomer Lupita Nyong’o scooped the gong for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ despite the 23-year-od being widely tipped for the golden statue.
The couple made a rare appearance as they beamed with smiles throughout the night, which turned out to be a pretty eventful affair for poor old Jlaw.

Repeating her epic fail from last year when she tripped as she collected her ‘Best Actress’ Oscar, the klutz fell over AGAIN as she turned to wave at a fan on the red carpet taking an almighty tumble before the bash had even begun.
Glowing in a stunning red Dior gown, the dippy actress got her annual fall out of the way early on before missing out on her second trophy – all in all a pretty disasterous evening for the ‘American Hustle’ star.
But she didn’t seem to mind, brushing off her embarrassment by bursting into hysterics as she headed into the nail biting show.
Big winners of the night included ’12 Years A Slave’ which took home the biggest award of the night, ‘Best Picture’ as well as ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for rising star Lupita Nyong’o.
‘Dallas Buyer’s Club’ stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto both walked away with nods for ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor’ respectively while Cate Blanchett claimed this year’s ‘Best Actress’ Oscar for her gripping performance in Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’.
