The UK has officially gone Chico mad or should it rather be plain fucking mad in the singles charts this week.
The former male strippers debut single Chico Time has gone straight in at number one knocking Madonnas Sorry off the top spot.
The one saving grace for the music buying public is that some good tracks actually made it into the top 40.
Graham Coxons comeback single Standing On My Own Again went in at number 19 while The Mystery Jets (Number 23) and The Rakes (Number 22) both entered the charts in the top 30.
Meanwhile Hot Chips superb Over and Over entered at number 32 and The Young Knives with Here Comes The Rumour Mill landed at number 36.
In the Album chart Corinne Bailey Rae went straight in a number one with her self titled debut while Kaiser Chiefs spent their 52nd week in the top 40 with Employment.
