The two British actors will play the roles of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley in Longford the drama that will tell the controversial story of the couple infamous killing spree on the Yorkshire moors.
The British stars will be joined on the small screen by Jim Broadbent who will play Lord Longford; he tried for decades to have Hindley released on parole.
It is expected tat the new drama will stir up memories for those families affected by the 1960s murder, but producers have promised not to dwell on the details of the murders.
Channel 4 boss Kevin Lygo told the Daily Mirror: "We don't go into the goriness and the hideous crimes.
"It's about Hindley and Longford, and his Catholic obsession for forgiveness and whether it's possible or appropriate."
There are extraordinary performances.
