Lady Gaga has proven herself to be one generous star after announcing that she is auctioning off her ticket to space on one of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceship flights and giving all the money to charity. Awh!
The ‘Applause’ star was recently confirmed to perform in the outer stratosphere in 2015 but had already bought a ticket on one of the sought-after flights before she knew she’d become the first musician to rock out above planet Earth.
Of course, Gaga, 27, couldn’t just leave the spare ticket sitting around so the kind singer is selling it with proceeds going towards her Born This Way Foundation.
“I honestly can't wait (to perform in space). I can't wait to design the performance. I'm auctioning off my second seat to raise money for the Born This Way Foundation,” Gaga told Harpers Bazaar.

“I want to make a moment that is about much more than me. Performing in space is such an honour. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond.”
She added: “I honestly can't wait. I can't wait to design the performance.”
The ‘Do What U Want’ singer has already dabbled in a little high flying when she debuted the world’s ‘first flying dress’ in November. The piece of machinery, which is titled Volantis and has been designed as a figure-hugging bodice, was given a preview at a warehouse in New York where Gaga hovered a few feet forward.
Can you afford to fly out to space? Then get bidding!
