Rumour has it that gorgeous Walk the Line star, Joaquin Phoenix, is set to star in Without Remorse, the latest Tom Clancy book to be made into a film.

Phoenix will play John Clark, a former Navy Seal and Vietnam veteran who returns to Vietnam to rescue American prisoners of war, according to Dark Horizons.

Author Tom Clancy had previously requested Tom Selleck for the lead, but relented that the Magnum PI star was getting on a bit, and the part would be better for the dashing Joaquin.
