Sex Pistols Snub Hall Of Fame

The Sex Pistols have delivered a blistering snub to America�s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, after being picked to join the exclusive club.

For years the institution didn�t class the British punk legends as good enough to be initiated into its ranks, and now they have been invited to join, the band has dismissed the club as �urine in wine.�

The group were picked late last year, with the likes of Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blondie. However, in a posting on their website yesterday, John Lydon delicately explained why the group would not be accepting the dubious honour:

�Next to the Sex Pistols rock and roll and that hall of fame is a piss stain. Your museum. Urine in wine. We�re not your monkey and so what.�

Makes perfect sense to us�

He continued: �Fame at 25,000 dollars if we paid for a table, or 15,000 to squeak up in the gallery, goes to a non-profit organisation selling us a load of old famous. Congratulations.�

Concluding: �If you voted for us, I hope you noted your reasons. You�re anonymous as judges. But you�re still music industry people. We�re not coming. You�re not paying attention. Outside the shit-stem is a real SEX PISTOL.�
