Beyonce has been opening up about her unannounced fifth studio album which dropped to the surprise of the entire planet last Friday and has since gone on to break records across the world in just a matter of days.
And now in a candid video message, the undisputed reigning first woman of pop has now explained just what the record is about admitting that she has “worked harder than anyone I know.”

Well we're certainly not going to argue with you there Bey, as somehow over the past 12 months, the 'Crazy In Love' chart topper has managed to pack out arenas across the world during her enormous 'Mrs. Cater Show' world tour, while secretly recording a whole album, film a staggering 17 music video unbeknown to pretty much anyone else AND lets not forget she's also raising her baby girl Blue-Ivy!
Speaking to her fans in the clip, Beyonce reveals how her life ambitions obviously changed in recent years since the birth of her first daughter, insisting: “I have a lot of awards and I have a lot of these things that are amazing and I worked my ass off," she explains.
"I worked harder than probably anyone I know to get those things. But nothing feels like my child saying, 'Mommy!' Nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes.
"Nothing feels like I'm respected, when I get on the stage and see I'm changing people's lives. Those are the things that matter, and at this point in my life, that's what I'm striving for.
"Growth. Love. Happiness. Fun. Enjoy your life, it's short. That's the message."
'Beyonce' became her fifth consecutive solo number one in the US after shifting an unbelievable 617,000 copies in just three days. The feat also means she is the first female solo artist ever to debut straight at number one with her first five albums and if that wasn't enough the figures also give Beyonce her highest first week sales ever.
And showing absolutely no signs of slowing down any time soon, our hero will be continuing with her 'Mrs Carter Show' world tour following the album's release, returning to the UK next February for a string of British dates.
