Paul Walker's family and friends gathered last week to attend a private screening of the actor's final movie The Hours and it has now been revealed that his fatherly role towards 15-year-old daughter Meadow inspired his part in the film.
The 40-year-old passed away on November 30, after the car he was travelling in hit a tree and burst into flames. According to E! News, Walker's 15 year-old daughter, Meadow was not amongst the relatives who attended the private screening at the in La Cañada Flintridge, California, but she did inspire his role.
In The Hours, Walker plays an unexpected father to a newborn baby and he used his fatherhood experiences to prepare for the role.
“I think it definitely helps to have a daughter, but I think if you’re a human being and you have love in your heart, you’re going to find connective fibers in this,” Walker said in a November 14 interview to promote the film. “There’s definitely a purity and a truth to it.”

Walker and Genesis Rodriguez star in the movie as a couple who rush to a New Orleans hospital after Rodriguez’s character goes into early labour. When the Hurricane Katrina hits the city, Walker’s character finds himself stranded in an empty hospital.
“My baby wasn’t planned,” Walker said. “I wasn’t married, out of wedlock, the whole bit. [I was] finding my step with it. I’m still finding my step. I think you always are. I’m five times the father that I was five years ago. Your head’s more in it. Your heart’s more in it. You can’t force it. You want to be better at it, just something hasn’t clicked yet.”
It has been two weeks since Walker's tragic death and a small and intimate funeral was held yesterday where the star was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.
