�American Gangster� will be set in the 1970�s and produced by Brian Grazer, he is hoping to start shooting the film this summer according to Variety magazine.
The plot is based on the life of a heroin dealer who tries to find a way to smuggle heroin by using the coffins of soldiers returning from the Vietnam war�nice.
According to reports, the film is back in action after being pulled by Universal Pictures in 2004�the company is still deciding whether to finance the picture.
Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe�s last film collaboration was the mighty �Gladiator�.
