Grammy Awards 2014: Taylor Swift, Jay Z, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar Lead Nominations

The awards are set to take place on January 26 next year

Jay Z is leading the way in terms of this year's Grammy nominations, with the rapper up for a whopping nine awards.

Other nominees include the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams, who all bagged an impressive seven nominations.

Taylor Swift, Lorde, Bruno Mars and Daft Punk are also up for awards at this year's bash.

Katy Perry and Swift were amongst the performers at last night's nominations gig, with the 'Prism' singer performing her set in Canada while Taylor, who is still on her mammoth 'Red' tour, showcasing her section of the concert from Australia.

The two sets were streamed live to the audience at the Nokia Theatre and TV viewers at home.

The awards ceremony will be held on January 26.
