A photographer who was present at the time Britney Spears was photographed driving with her baby son in her lap has slammed her claims that she was being chased by the paparazzi.
The unnamed snapper has alleged that Britney was driving around a coffee shop car park with her baby in her lap at the time the incriminating pictures were taken.
He told the Daily Star: She was having a right laugh driving around and around the car park.
No-one was hassling her or chasing her. If anything she was chasing herself.
She tore off when she realised she had been spotted.
Following the publication of pictures showing Britney driving with her five month old baby on her lap and not buckled in the former golden girl released a personal statement to People magazine that read:
"Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him."
This latest mishap could hang around...According to Californian law Britney could now be taken to court as all children must be secured in an appropriate child passenger restraint until they are at least six or weigh at least 60lbs.
A spokesperson for the UKs Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents said yesterday: Someone in her position should know how to stick to the rules.
She should really know better and be setting a good example for other young mums.
Should she?
