�Brokeback Mountain� is leading the way to the Oscars with a massive eight nominations.
Ang Lee�s film has received outstanding reviews from the majority of critics and has quite rightly been nominated for the �Best Film� and �Best Director� awards.
Star of the film, Heath Ledger is up for �Best Actor�, his co-star Jake Gyllenhaal is up for �Best Supporting Actor� while Michelle Williams has been nominated for �Best Supporting Actress�.
Other films nominated for the �Best Film� award include �Goodnight, and Good Luck�, �Capote�, �Crash� and �Munich�.
Actors other then Ledger up for the �Best Actor� award are Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Terrence Howard, Joaquin Phoenix and David Stratham.
The ladies competing for that �Best Actress� statuette are Dame Judi Dench, Felicity Huffman, Keira Knightly, Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon.
The Academy Awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on 5 March�should be quite a night.
