Lea Michele 'Will Not Feature In Cory Monteith Glee Tribute Episode'

Until the final scene where she will perform a 'limited but incredibly powerful' song

As fans gear up to watch the new season of Glee including the special tribute episode for Cory Monteith, it has been revealed that leading actress Lea Michele will not feature in the special episode until the final act.

It is believed that viewers of the episode which will celebrate the life of the actor who tragically passed away in July, will only see Lea appear towards the end where she will perform a "limited but incredibly powerful" song in tribute to her on and off-screen love, according to E! News.

On the subject of the episode, a source commented to HollywoodLife:

"The [episode] is more of a celebration of Cory’s life, and the difference he made to us and the fans of the show. As much as it will be [part of the Glee season], it also feels like a stand-alone episode.”

On the subject of the tribute episode to Cory, Matthew Morrison recently spoke of how strong Lea was when the cast were filming. Speaking to E! News, the actor who plays the role of Glee club teacher Will Schuester said earlier this year:

"We're in the middle of filming it, and it's incredibly hard.

"We've mourned Cory, but now we're mourning Finn. So it's kind of like two people in that one person. It's incredibly hard and we're staying strong together and I have to say Lea [Michele] has been the most strongest of all of us."

Revealing that the cast have also grown closer, Matthew added:

"I think we all knew we were very close but I think this just kind of solidified it like we are a rock for each other right now. It's quite a beautiful thing."

However Matthew wasn't the only one to speak about the tribute episode for Cory as Darren Criss who plays the role of Blaine, commented:

"It's tough to shoot. It's something that needs to happen for the fans. I don't know; it's going to be tough. But it will be very poignant and hopefully very moving, and just that: a tribute. Hopefully it will be a good tribute to Cory."
