Drake may be furious but Twitter is abuzz after his highly-anticipated collaboration with Jay Z titled 'Pound Cake' leaked online this morning, a week before his third album 'Nothing Was The Same' is due for release and the duo will no doubt cause a stir with a rather controversial reference to pop princess Katy Perry.

The 'Started From The Bottom' rapper, who pushed back the original release date of his upcoming album from September 16 to September 24, released the LP's official tracklisting earlier this month confirming that Jay Z would feature on a double-sided track, titled 'Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2,' leaving fans eagerly anticipating the collaboration.

While most thought they had to wait until the album was released to hear the track, it looks as though their wishes were granted sooner than expected as the song leaked online this weekend, no doubt to the anger of Drizzy.

Young Money star Drake kicks off the track with lyrics such as: “My classmates, they went on to be chartered accountants or work with their parents, but thinkin' back on how they treated me my high school reunion might be worth an appearance.”

However, Jay Z sets the bar even higher and after name-dropping Miley Cyrus on his latest album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail,' targets yet another pop star in the form of Katy Perry, but it's sure to raise even more eyebrows with a reference to racism.

“I had Benzes 'fore you had braces. The all black Maybach but I'm not a racist. Inside's whiter than Katy Perry's face is,” Jay Z raps.

Despite the potentially controversial lyric, the track has already been well received on Twitter where it has been trending all morning. @CraigxMitch tweeted: “The verse Hov gave Drizzy on Pound Cake is better than most verses on his own MCHG.”

Heisenberg ‏@JAKESTACKZ said: “Pound cake beat is crazy,” while @tochifoads added: “Listened to Jay z's verse on Pound cake and all I do is LAUGH @Tipsyoo.”

@iareDEX, who hints he has downloaded the entire album which has also leaked online, revealed: “Pound Cake - Drake ft. Jay Z .. Best song on the album hands down ! From Lyrical Content to Subject Consistency !!”
