Their new album is packed with R&B influences, so Arctic Monkeys' decision to perform a live cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going Home' this week should seem like a natural progression.
The band made the surprising decision to perform the Canadian rapper's top 10 hit after dropping in to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Friday (September 13) as they continue to promote their fifth album, AM.

The long-player was released on Monday (September 9) to enthusiastic reviews, with critics praising the group – fronted by Alex Turner- for embracing a fresh, R&B tinged sound following their move to southern California.
AM is on course to claim the number one spot in this week's album chart and, based on current sales – 97,000 copies in its first week of release – could end 2013 as the fastest selling album of the year.
