Paula Patton 'Not Mad At Miley Cyrus Gyrating With Husband Robin Thicke During MTV VMA's Performance'

A source has denied speculation that she was furious

Paula Patton is clearly a very understanding wife as a source claims that the actress isn't upset with Miley Cyrus for her racy performance with her husband Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards, despite claims that she was initially furious.

Miley has been the talk on everyone's lips since Sunday when she took to the stage dressed in a nude bikini and proceeded to twerk into Robin's lap and even nibble at his neck as they performed 'Blurred Lines.'

Reports initially claimed that Mission:Impossible actress Paula was raging when she witnessed her husband being fondled by the controversial young singer, however another insider reportedly claims that Paula knew what to expect from the performance.

According to TMZ, Paula, who shares a three-year-old son with Thicke, actually had no problem with the racy nature of the routine as she had watched “tons of rehearsals” prior to the awards show and knew there would be no surprises.

While Paula, 37, may be understanding of her hubby's work, many other celebs and viewers have taken to Twitter to blast Miley and the other performers for their x-rated sets including Kelly Clarkson who claimed some were like “pitchy strippers.”

Miley, 20, has remained largely silent on the criticism, however, she did take to Twitter to address the popularity of her performance, claiming it even managed to break records.

“Smilers! My VMA performance had 306.000 tweets per minute. That's more than the blackout or Superbowl! #fact,” Miley tweeted before adding praise she has received from Rolling Stones.

“Miley was the one star in the room who truly understood what the MTV Video Music Awards are all about!" - Rolling Stone,” Miley shared with her fans.

“Miley stole the night, which is why the nation is still in recovery today. Thanks, Miley..." - Rolling Stone.”
