Lady Gaga may be battling with Katy Perry on the charts at the moment but the singer now has a reason to celebrate after her hit single 'Bad Romance' has become the second of her songs to reach a million sales in the UK.
The 'Born This Way' singer, whose latest single 'Applause' is battling with Perry's 'Roar' to top the charts, released 'Bad Romance' in 2009 and enjoyed great success with the track reaching number one in several countries including the UK.

Despite being four years since its release, the dance number's popularity has showed no signs of slowing down and according to the Official Charts Company, has become Gaga's second hit to shift a million units and is the 138th song in British history to do so.
While it's an amazing feat, Gaga is trailing behind the likes of Sir Paul McCartney who currently has nine million-selling singles while Rihanna and Frankie Goes To Hollywood star Holly Johnson are tying at three.
Even more incredibly, Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' and Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' are the only tracks to reach the feat this year so far.
No doubt the news will be music to Gaga's ears after reports that Perry's 'Roar' is expected to shift 450,000 copies while 'Applause' is paling in comparison with predictions of 200-225,000 sales.
Gaga, 27, is also gearing up for the release of her next album 'ARTPOP,' and DJ White Shadow explains how the singer poured her heart and soul into 'Applause.'
After the track was released on Monday, her producer, DJ White Shadow, spoke openly with MTV News and explained about the evolution of the Mother Monster's new track.
"She has a complete and total adoration for her fans. I've never seen anyone in my entire life work as hard or do as much for her fans. It's a back-and-forth thing."
"She does so much for them that they naturally want to do stuff for her. The reason why those kids are so into Lady Gaga is because Lady Gaga is so into them," he told MTV News on Wednesday, adding: "I will say that every single song on this record is for the fans."
