R&B star Miguel will appear before a court next month, following his arrest for Driving Under the Infleunce in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Grammy nominee, who recently teamed up with Mariah Carey for hit tune #Beautiful was pulled over by police in Los Angeles around 2am this morning, TMZ report.
The 27-year-old was reportedly stopped for speeding and having his windows tinted. When officers spoke to him they are said to have smelled alcohol on his breath.
Officials tell the US site that Miguel took a breathalyser test and blew over the legal limit, at which point he was arrested and later released on $5,000 bail. He is set to appear before an LA court in September.

Miguel found himself in trouble earlier this year after falling on an audience member during his performance at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
The 'How Many Drinks?' singer became a talking point of this year's awards show on May 19 when his attempt at jumping over a crowd of fans near the stage failed, with the pint-sized star falling straight onto audience member Khyati Shah's head.
Miguel addressed the incident explaining that he is a “passionate performer,” hence his attempt at the jump. “When you put your art out there, you are not only putting your art out there, you are putting your life out there,” Miguel told IamMusic.tv. “
What I love about it, is the ability to show that you're human and for people to relate to the fact that we are not perfect. It didn't go exactly as I planned, I'm a very passionate performer."
