Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton have one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood, but the singer has revealed their courtship in their teens got off to a rocky start as the actress was embarrassed by him.
The showbiz couple have been an item since they were 16, marrying in 2005 and welcoming their three-year-old son Julian in 2010, but according to the Blurred Lines singer their match was far from made in heaven as Paula found it difficult to introduce a white guy to her friends.

"Since I was 14 I dated then married a black woman," he told The Times magazine.
Revealing that 2 Guns actress Paula, who is of mixed race, was the president of The Black Student Union at the time, the 36-year-old admitted that she was hesitant to reveal his identity to her school friends.
"When we got together, she was the president of the Black Student Union. And she didn't even want to admit to her friends that she was dating a white guy.
"We didn't go to her prom because she was too embarrassed."
The couple clearly got over their initial issues and are regularly seen engaging in lovey-dovey PDA session. Only recently Paula admitted that she was jealous by her hubby’s raunchy music video for Blurred Lines.
"I watched that video and I was a little bit jealous and then I wanted to jump his bones. I was like, 'I want to take you down right now.' That's how I know it's a hit," she recently told Chelsea Handler.
