'My Children Will Be In The Movie': Mark Wahlberg Says Transformers 4 Will be A Family Affair

The actor will play a struggling inventor in the forthcoming film

Mark Wahlberg has ensured his entire family play a part in Transformers 4 when shooting begins this year.

The 42-year-old actor has been drafted as a replacement for Shia LaBeouf in the popular franchise and has used his prominent role as struggling inventor Flynn Vincent to bag minor roles for kids Ella, Michael, Brendan and Grace – his children with wife Rhea Durham.

“All four of them are going to be in the movie,” he told ABC News. “They're excited about that.”

Despite having starred in a string of high-profile films since the mid-nineties with a breakout role in The Basketball Diaries alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark admits his children are yet to see him on-screen.

However, the family always notice the change to his physical appearance with every role – particularly his latest in action film 2 Guns.

“I came in at 212Ibs, and I had to lose all the weight,” he said. “I did it just playing basketball, changing my diet – doing the work.”

2 Guns is set to go on general release in August.
