Lady Gaga can be seen undergoing a painful piercing on the septum of her nose in a video clip shared online.
The 'Born This Way' star visited the MasterMind Ink Custom Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery in Chicago Monday to get the obscure piercing.
In the video uploaded by her make-up artist, Tara Savelo, Gaga can be seen lying in a chair ready to have her septum pierced.
The fleshy external area that separates the left and right nostril, can often be quite thick and would make for a painful piercing.
However it seems the star has no fear of needles, as she remained relaxed as the professional clipped her nose with a large utensil before forcing a needle through the septum of her nose.
The 27-year-old singer opted for a large nose ring, which she posed with in a picture posted to Facebook by the parlour.
Gaga dressed down and sporting a fresh face while flaunting her newly pierced nose next to piercer Steve Bennett.
Steve also posted the picture on his Instagram, captioning the shot, "Getting hype with Lady Gaga at my studio in Chicago. (pierced her septum with 16 anatometal seamless)," he wrote.

Gaga is scheduled to perform the first unnamed single from her third studio album 'ARTPOP' at the MTV Video Music Awards next month, but Savelo shot down rumours the music featured in the piercing video was for her upcoming album next month.
"The music's not from the album, it's from the experience xoxo," she posted to Twitter on Wednesday.
The video emerged as excitement continues to build for Gaga's upcoming single, with fans eagerly awaiting her upcoming performance at the VMA's.
It will be her first major performance since undergoing surgery due to a hip injury in February, which forced her to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour.
