Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift & Miley Cyrus Among 2013 MTV VMA Nominees

The two acts have scooped six nods each!

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are on course to become huge winners at this year's MTV Video Music Awards after scoring an incredible six nominations each.

The 2013 award ceremony, which will take place on August 25, will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the first time ever and it looks set to be one of the biggest VMAs yet with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Calvin Harris all receiving multiple nominations.

Battling it out for the coveted Video of the Year award is Justin Timberlake's 'Mirrors' clip, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who are up for 'Thrift Shop,' Bruno Mars' catchy number 'Locked Out Of Heaven,' Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and Robin Thicke's banger 'Blurred Lines.'

Timberlake, Thicke and Mars have also received nods in the Best Male Video category alongside Ed Sheeran's 'Lego House' and Kendrick Lamar's 'Swimming Pools.'

Rihanna will be hoping to triumph in the Best Female Video segment with 'Stay,' Taylor's 'I Knew You Were Trouble,' Miley Cyrus' new chart-topper 'We Can't Stop,' Pink's ballad 'Just Give Me A Reason' and Demi Lovato's 'Heart Attack.'

Fun. and Selena Gomez will be competing with Cyrus, Gomez, Timberlake and Mars in the Best Pop Video category while Iggy Azalea, Austin Mahone and The Weeknd are among the acts nominated for Artist To Watch.
