Harry Styles should be advised to take out an insurance policy on those luscious locks of his after his hair almost caught fire while on stage in Illinois performing on One Direction's 'Take Me Home' tour, but fear not, as his bandmate Zayn Malik rushed to his rescue.
The 19-year-old has millions of girls around the world cooing over his dark curly locks but they were almost destroyed over the weekend when Harry was seconds away from walking into flames while on stage at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on Sunday night.
Harry, Zayn, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne were coming towards the end of 'Teenage Dirtbag', when the curly-haired one walked to the side of the stage to wipe his sweat with a white towel. After putting said towel over his head, Harry walked towards the back of the stage unable to see and unaware that a huge pyrotechnic torch was blazing away.
Noticing that he was heading straight into the flame, Zayn rushed towards his pal quickly pulling him away from the danger and while his rescue attempt came just in time, it looked as though the towel was briefly set alight before Harry put it out.
1D have just a few weeks left of the US leg of their world tour which has so far seen them perform across Europe and Canada, and they will be heading to Australia for a huge jaunt in September.
Despite their hair-raising stage dramas, it looks set to be the 'Best Week Ever' for the lads who are celebrating the premiere of their new single 'Best Song Ever' by treating fans to a teaser of the track everday until it receives its first airplay on Friday.
