Teen star Lindsay Lohan has been hospitalized after suffering from a severe asthma attack.

The actress/singer/celebrity was admitted to a Miami hospital on Monday night and is now said to be resting comfortably, reports People.

Lohan was in Miami after celebrating New Years Eve at the city�s Prive nightclub with friends.

Earlier this year Lohan was forced to make another hospital visit after a dramatic weight loss sent her body on a downward spiral.

According to The Bosh, Lohan said at the time: "I was going through a lot of stuff and overworking and not thinking of my body,"

"I lost 20-25 pounds. I was on IV drips. I nearly died,"

Lohan is scheduled to start shooting a new movie based on the assassination of John Lennon with her rumored boyfriend Jared Leto in just two weeks.

It is as yet uncertain as to whether she will be well enough to start filming.
