With the new series of Downton Abbey approaching, we can't wait to see what series four has in store and it appears Michelle Dockery who plays the role of Lady Mary can't wait either after she admitted that she is having a "love affair" with her job.
Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, Michelle, whose character will be seen dealing with the loss of her husband, Matthew Crawley following his death from a car accident, said of her role on the hit ITV drama:
"It’s like this love affair that I have with my job.”

And Michelle never wants it to end as she added: "There’s a part of me that doesn’t want it to end, because I love it so much... and once it’s all over, I’m sure there will be a period when I feel slightly at a loss.”
Whilst we love Michelle playing the role of Lady Mary, it appears we're not the only ones as Julian Fellowes said of the stunning star: "Michelle was able to demonstrate that curious mixture of cold exterior with the hint of deep feeling and sexual allure that for me, at least, takes one back to the giants of my youth: Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn, or Grace Kelly, the ultimate icon of fire wrapped in ice."

Downton Abbey aside, the actress also admitted to laughing at herself sometimes. Asked how she has kept so grounded despite the phenomenal success Downton has had both in the UK and America, Michelle answered:
"It’s very easy in this business to take things a little too seriously or yourself too seriously, and I grew up learning how to laugh at myself.”
