Chris Brown Vows To Stand Up For Gay Rights After Launching 'Unity Campaign'

Breezy claims he has a 'moral obligation' to stand up for equality

Chris Brown has promised to make a stand for minority groups including gay people and various races after announcing he will be premiering his new single on Monday as part of his new Unity Campaign.

Proving he is a reformed character, 'Don't Judge Me' singer Chris is leaving his controversial bad boy persona in the past and moving to inspire others to embrace minorities in society through his new movement, Unity Campaign.

Sharing his plans with his Twitter followers, Chris tweeted on Thursday: “The new single is apart of my "UNITY CAMPAIGN" which encourages all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!”

“As a young inspiration to all types of people around the world, I have a moral obligation to let go of grudges or bs,” he added.

The 23-year-old is expected to release the Aaliyah-featuring 'They Don't Know' as his next single, ahead of his forthcoming album 'X' which will be made available on July 16.

Meanwhile, Chris appeared in court earlier this week in relation to claims that he exaggerated the amount of hours of community service he has completed since being found guilty of domestic assault on ex Rihanna in 2009.

The hearing was adjourned until July 15, the day before the album release, and the Virginia native is expected to make an appearance.

It was also reported that Chris was still being investigated for his alleged brawl with Frank Ocean in January with TMZ reporting that he could possibly face charges over the incident. However, Chris' lawyer Mark Geragos has told EntertainmentWise that these claims are “false.”
