Actress Salma Hayek is enjoying the single life for the first time in years.

The star of �Frida� spent years with actor Edward Norton before getting it on with Josh Lucas.

Now she is free and single Hayek is enjoying finding out a bit more about herself before embarking on a new relationship.

She said: "I was in a four-year relationship, then went into another four-year relationship. Then I dated someone for a year.

"I'm single now for the first time in a decade, and it's wonderful to find out who I am when I'm not someone's girlfriend."

Could this be the rebirth of girl power?
