Kate Middleton may have impressed many fashionistas with her maternity wardrobe but big name designer Roberto Cavalli is not a fan of the Duchess of Cambridge's style, insisting that he should design some "sexier" pieces for the mum-to-be.
Cavalli has weighed in on Kate's style, suggesting that the royal should move away from the classic pieces which make up her signature look in favour of something younger and sexier:
"A princess should be sexy," the Italian fashion designer told Vogue UK. "She is young, she is beautiful–I would like to create something special for her, but nothing too bold. I would like to prove to the world that Roberto Cavalli can dress a princess."
The designer, who is known for his flamboyant animal prints and figure hugging silhouettes, went on to muse that he would dress Kate in some "younger designs" which he feels would better suit the pregnant royal: "Maybe I would use a print, keeping it young, sophisticated and sexy. Just because you are a queen or princess it doesn't mean you can't be sexy."

Ouch! Perhaps Kate can take comfort from some kind words from Jennifer Lopez, who had nothing but praise for the duchess in a recent interview.
JLo has been gushing about how Kate has handled her pregnancy in the spotlight, claiming it has been done with "grace" and "integrity". The already high profile royal has seen attention on her increase to fever pitch even further since becoming pregnant, and with just a few weeks to go the former American Idol host has admitted that expecting a baby in the spotlight isn't easy.
"It's tough when you're pregnant," she told this week's Stylist Magazine, "but Kate handles it with a lot of grace and integrity and that's why she is what she is."
