Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson�s vertical spiky hairdo has been voted the best celebrity hairstyle of 2005 by Brylcreem.

Despite chopping off his famous spikes, Henson is now growing them back much to the pleasure of hair care manufacturers everywhere.

Henson beat Harry Potter, David Beckham, Journey South and Frank Lampard to win the accolade.

Brylcreem style director John Birchall said: "Gavin has really emerged as a new celebrity icon both on and off the field. It seems it wasn't only his ball skills that caught the nation's eye this year, but his sharp, crisp haircut.

According to the Pete Doherty has the worst hair in Showbiz�it is pretty messy.
