Amid the current speculation over Kelly Rowland's possible role as a judge on the X Factor USA, X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh has appeared to confirm that the former Destiny's Child star will indeed be joining Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato on the panel as the third season of the show kicks off.
Despite no official word from Kelly and Simon revealing that the announcement will be made today, Louis - who has been a judge on the show since it began, appeared to be quite knowledgeable of who will be on the X Factor USA panel, telling Ireland's TV Now magazine:
"I’ve heard Kelly Rowland [will be a judge]. She’s very good and of course she worked with Beyonce. ‘Sister B’ that’s what she used to call her.
“I think judges like Kelly Rowland are good. She started from nothing. She learned her craft. She can sing and dance.”
Kelly's reported place on the show has yet to be officially confirmed (WENN)
Going on to claim that Simon will have three ladies on his panel, Louis who is said to be returning to the UK version of the show for another year, continued to comment:
“Kelly Rowland will be back and I think he’s gonna use three girls. Three girls and Simon. Simon, Kelly, Demi and another. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used Cheryl Cole. Is she doing anything else? It’s not like she’s making any records.”
A rep for the X Factor USA has been approached for comment.
Meanwhile, Demi, who confirmed her return to the X Factor USA earlier this year, has remained tight-lipped on who will be on the panel. Speaking during her interview with Live From MTV, Demi said:
"I am not going to say in this moment today. It's just me and Simon and I'm appreciative of that so whatever happens, happens. I think we are going to have to figure out who it is soon because there are auditions next week, but yeah you want to get it right and it will be really great.
"Me and Simon have talked, and I'm excited for what he is thinking."
