Will Smith and his son Jaden have denied reports that the teen wants to be 'divorced' from his parents.
Earlier this week a rumour kicked off suggesting that 14-year-old Jaden wanted out of the home he shares with dad Will, mother Jada Pinkett-Smith and sister Willow.
A quote in The Sun, allegedly from Will himself, had read: "[Jaden] says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh.
"That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand."

It seems, however, that he was only joking. He told Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime talk show: "I think I made a joke in Tokyo. I mean, my baby boy, he's never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids."
And Jaden himself said: "See, here's the thing. I'm not going anywhere. The thing that people don't get is everything at this house is free.
"I can get anything and everything at his house, so I'm going to be there for 20, 30 years. He says as soon as I have a movie that's bigger than one of his movies, I can get my own house."

Will had previously said of his parenting techniques: "We generally don’t believe in punishment.
"From the time Jaden was five or six we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life."
Looks like the Smith household couldn't be any less dramatic after all.
