Charlie Sheen is currently locked in a bitter custody battle with ex-wife Brooke Mueller over his two sons, Max and Bob, with a new report claiming his legal team will accuse her of using their children to get her hands on custody payments from the multi-millionaire star when they head to court later today.
The four year old twins have been cared for by Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards after the court granted her temporary custody when Mueller checked herself into rehab. Sheen, who himself has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse failed to gain custody of his children for the period.
Now the couple are set to head to court again to seek out a long term solution to the situation. Sources close to the Anger Management star's legal team, will reportedly claim Mueller, who is currently in rehab for substance abuse issues, is attempting to get her brother named as official guardian of their children, meaning she'll still recieve the $55,000 monthly child support and it's money that's motiviating her to fight for custody, TMZ reports.

The reported insider, who claims to be close to Sheen's legal team, insists Mueller wants Richards "out of the picture," so she can claim the full child support figure. Another source claims Denise has already given written proof of Brooke making it "clear" she "wants and needs" the monthly figure to the Department of Child and Family Services regarding the case.
Sheen married Denise in 2002 though filed for divorce just three years later. He then married Brooke Mueller in 2008 with their marriage even shorter, managing just two years until 2010.
The actor himself is said to be happy, the source claimed, that the twins are with Denise, who has two daughters with Sheen, and is happy for them to stay with her until Brooke is sober and can prove she won't relapse. His legal team will reportedly tell the judge he's happy to provide any monetary support to make this happen.
