Ellen DeGeneres Pays Tribute To Cher With Mocked Up Snap Of Her In THAT Bodysuit

The chat show host photoshopped herself onto the singer's from the Turn Back Time video

It was the barely-there, left-nothing-to-the-imagination bodysuit that not only just about managed to cover Cher's modesty but also became synonymous with the singer and her incredible body.

But who wears it better? A 43-year-old Cher or a 55-year-old Ellen DeGeneres? It's a tricky one!

The hilarious TV host was expecting the singer and actress as a guest on her show yesterday but decided to tease the appearance of her special guest by paying homage to her from that infamous 1989 video for Turn Back Time.

She superimposed her head onto Cher's body from the video and posted it on her Instagram and Twitter page with the caption: "'I had to change my outfit before the show. Cher and I were wearing the same thing. Don't miss tomorrow!"

Ellen had also donned a sailor's cap in tribute to the video, which was shot on board the battleship USS Missouri, where Cher sings to a large group of sailors.

The fishnet bodystocking, which was worn under a very revealing black one-piece) became more famous than Cher in 1989 when she wore it in the video.

It was considered so saucy that many TV networks refused to air it. MTV banned it which they later withdrew but only played it only after 9 pm.

A censored video was made for daytime viewing which including new scenes and cut sexually explicit content from the original.

Cher was joined on Ellen's show by her 86-year-old mother Georgia Holt and her 61-year-old half-sister Georganne LaPiere and they talked about Cher's son Chaz Bono's recent weight loss and his sex change.
