Emma Stone: Woody Allen's Next Muse As She's Cast Opposite Colin Firth In New Movie

Is Stone to be Allen's latest muse?

Emma Stone and Colin Firth are set to star as the leading couple in Woody Allen's next, as yet untitled comedy, it has been confirmed.

The Help actress, who is known for her comic abilities after roles in Superbad and Crazy, Sexy, Love will star opposite the British actor, who picked up an Oscar for his role in The King's Speech, in the comedy which will be shot by the legendary director in the South of France this summer according to USA Today.

It will be New Yorker Allen's eighth movie shot in Europe with recent sucesses Midnight in Paris and Vicky Christina Barcelona taking inspiratin directly from some of it's most iconic cities.

Stone, who has fast become one of the hottest actresses of the moment, is being hailed as Allen's most inspirational muses since Diane Keaton, something we're sure the actress isn't exactly offended by.

Speaking to the Huffington Post about the Annie Hall star, Stone claimed she was a huge inspiration: “I talk about her literally every day,”

“She’s probably a little freaked out by me, so maybe it’s a better idea not to meet her because she’s probably going to have to get some sort of restraining order at this point. I’m kidding, I promise I am no threat.”

Previously Scarlett Johansson has been one of the 77 year-old's actress of choice starring in three of his movies, Match Point, Vicky Christina Barcelona and Scoop.

Claiming the pair would grow old together Allen told Marie Claire: “I always said that I’m going to wind up like Erich von Stroheim in Sunset Boulevard.

“She was going to wind up the aged movie actress who everyone was in love with, and I was going to end up the director who once directed her, now her chauffeur.

"Anytime I have an idea, if there’s anything that she could play in it, she’s always my first option. I’d love to come up with a tremendous vehicle just for her.”
