Rihanna Breaks Billboard Record For Most Number One Pop Songs Ever

The songstress has scored her 10th number one with 'Stay'

Rihanna has broken the record for the most number ones ever on the Billboard pop songs chart as she scores her tenth chart-topper with 'Stay'.

The 'Diamonds' singer has broken the record previously set by Katy Perry, who has a tally of nine number ones.

Impressively, the Bajan singer has managed to accomplish this feat since just 2006 when she scored her first number one with 'SOS.'

The achievement comes after Rihanna has recently broken all sorts of records on the chart including the most entries in the chart with 35 and the most top tens with 23.

Billboard recently announced that Rihanna is up for 10 gongs at this year's Billboard Awards including 'Top Artist' where she'll be competing against the likes of One Direction and Taylor Swift.

Rihanna is currently embarking on her 'Diamonds' world tour but has had to cancel three dates so far due to illness.

The singer recently rubbished rumours that she was pregnant after suspicions rose following the cancellation of her third date in Houston last week.

The tour comes to the UK on June 10, kicking off at The Millenium Stadium Cardiff.
