Danielle Calo was pictured hugging Lachey in September and has made herself public to either �defend herself from press reports� or make a stab at her 15 minutes of fame�I�m going for the latter.
Calo has revealed that she was in a romantic relationship with Lachey but did not sleep with the reality TV star.
She is now insisting that she and her action had no effect on the golden couple�s marriage breakdown.
She said on the US news show �Extra� last night: "There's no way I had that much of an effect on their marriage, No way. I was just the girl he picked that night."
She maintained that she had not slept with Lachey saying: "If you think I'm that kind of girl, I'm not."
She said they just "hung out and just kissed and that was it,"
"I didn't want it to escalate."
When asked what she would say to Simpson if they ever met she said: "I'd say I'm sorry. I want this whole situation to be gone and go back to the way it was."
