Rita Ora may be thinking before she Instagrams in future as she has been slammed for promoting gun crime after sharing a photo of herself with new besties Cassie and Adrienne Bailon brandishing fake guns.
The 'Shine Ya Light' singer is currently in the US recording her second album with several producers and songwriters including Ne-Yo, but she has also enjoyed making new friends and hanging out with Kelly Rowland and Rob Kardashian's ex-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon.

However, it seems she may have taken her play time too far as she has been heavily criticised for insensitively promoting the gun culture, in light of the ongoing problem the US has with the use of firearms. In the photo posted on Instagram, Rita, 'King of Hearts' singer Cassie and Adrienne are all posing with fake gold guns while standing on a balcony which overlooks the night skyline.
Along with the snap, Rita wrote: “#rockabyeangels @cassiesuper @adrienne_bailon #fakegoldguns of course!” However, the photo infuriated some users of the photo sharing site, who have accused 22-year-old Rita of not using her celebrity in the status to promote positive things.
One Instagram user, Benjiman21, wrote: “Lets promote gun crime. #dickhead #stupid #dumb #unnecessary #notcool #thinkaboutwhatyouredoing #influential #useyourpowerwell.” angedee26 added: “Your sooooo cool, NOT! Stop trying to be a gangsta rita & most of all stop promoting gun crime.”
mitchacarter accused the Roc Nation songstress of not being mindful of the young fans who watch her every move. “@ritaora you are an idiot. Young children look up to you. Fake or not, promoting guns to look 'cool' is totally out of order,” Mitcha commented.
EntertainmentWise contacted Rita's rep but received no comment.
