Jamie Foxx was almost unrecognisable on the set of latest film The Amazing Spiderman 2 earlier this week when he stepped out in ice-blue make-up as evil nemesis Electro.
Dressed from head to toe in black and wearing a pair of contact lenses, the 45-year-old hunk was shooting scenes for the forthcoming sequel in Times Square on Monday (April 15) – and the distinctive makeover has drawn comparisons with Mr. Freeze, the anti-hero played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in memorable box-office fail Batman and Robin.

Both Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will return to their respective roles as Peter and Gwen when the Marc Webb directed film hits the big screen in May 2014.
Other stars expected to appear in the forthcoming film include Chris Cooper, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley and Paul Giamatti – who makes an appearance as The Rhino.

Over the weekend Jamie was making headlines for an entirely different reason when he made an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles sporting a T-shirt emblazoned with an image of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old African-American who was shot to death during an altercation in Florida.
The striking picture was surrounded by images of the 26 people – mostly children – who perished at the hands of gunman Adam Lanza during the Sandy Hook school massacre last December.

The T-shirt also bore the message: KNOW JUSTICE, KNOW PEACE.
“Just a little blip to keep our minds – not political or anything like that – just think about the children,” he said at the time. “My daughter's here, 19-years-old, so just protecting our kids, that's all.”
The Oscar-winner went on to win two awards – the MTV Generation Award and Best WTF Moment, an honour he shared with Django Unchained co-star Samuel L. Jackson.
