WATCH: Downton Abbey Star Dan Stevens Features In New Trailer For Summer In February

The actor will star alongside Dominic Cooper in the forthcoming film

Dan Stevens shows off what he's been up to since leaving Downton Abbey for pastures new in a newly released trailer for forthcoming Edwardian drama Summer in February.

The 30-year-old actor joins Dominic Cooper, Emily Browning, Hattie Morahan, Mia Austen, Shaun Dingwall and Michael Maloney for the upcoming film, which is directed by Christopher Menual and based on a true story.

Stevens – who co-produced the drama – will play a land agent competing with Cooper's bohemian artist for the affections of Florence, played by Browning.

As well as appearing alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in forthcoming Julian Asange biopic The Fifth Estate – in which he plays The Guardian deputy editor Ian Katz – Stevens is also said to be appearing in a new adaptation of Swallows and Amazons.

The actor left Downton Abbey last year at the end of its third season in order to work on other projects.

Summer in February will be released in the UK on June 14.
