Former Doctor Who star David Tennant reckons that he could have a shot at starring in superhero franchise The Fantastic Four as Mr Fantastic aka Reed Richards.
The answer came in a modest response to a question from the star, who thought he might now be a little old to play anyone else, however it is intriguing that he should choose a hero to play who may well be being cast right at this very moment.
Ioan Gruffud played the character in the previous two Marvel movies in the franchise, released in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

Yet development is underway on a reboot, with March 6 2015 slated for release and September the likely start of production.
Tennant may have dropped a hint that he'll be there by saying: "I'm a bit old for a lot of [the comic book roles] now, which is a terrible, alarming truth," before continuing to Collider: "Who could I be? I could probably still do Reed Richards - Mr Fantastic. I don't know."
Chronicle director Josh Trank is reportedly down to helm the project, with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies writer Seth Grahame-Smith working on a script.
X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn is attached to produce the film. Tennant is currently seen on the small screen in Broadchurch on ITV1.
