Zayn Malik might be in the biggest boyband on the planet, but according to the hunk he's already planning a career after One Direction and is hoping to become a professional boxer.
The 20 year-old has made millions as one fifth of 1D but when the star goes solo it won't be his voice he'lll be making a splash with, it'll be his fists. Malik claims he used to box before he was in the chart topping group and is keen to return to those days.
“I did boxing from when I was 15 to 17,” he said according to the Daily Star, “I love it and I’ve started training again now on the side, even though we don’t get much time off for exercise. I’m trying to eat healthier so I can bulk up. I’d love to pursue it properly one day.”
The star, who is known as the bad boy of One Direction, already looks the part with his tattoo covered body, but what some Directioners might not know is that he reportedly designs all his inkings himself.

“All of my tattoos are based on my own art work,” he explained. Admitting he's not done yet when it comes to his tats, Zayn joked he thinks he's addicted to designing his own body art.
“I want to fill up my entire right arm to my elbow to start off,” he claimed.
“I’ve got loads of ideas.”
Adding: “I’m more addicted to coming up with ideas for tattoos rather than the tattoo itself!”
Zayn's not the only one thinking about life after One Direction, it was reported over the weekend that Harry Styles may be recording some solo material, but thankfully these were later denied.
The lads, who are thoughts to be worth £25 million each, are currently on their Take Me Home world tour, which will see them perform in 19 countries over eight months.
