Harry Styles is reportedly planning a move away from One Direction as he prepares to record a solo album but Directioners don't need to worry as insiders insist it doesn't mean an end to the band.
Harry is said to be recording a series of songs on his own with the hopes of releasing a solo album. Friends of the 19-year-old claim the star has co-written some of the new tracks and has been making secret visits to Paramount recording studio in Hollywood to work on the songs.
Harry made his latest visit last week on a break from the group’s sell-out world tour. “He loves messing around with some of the new songs he’s been working on,” a close friend tells The Sun. “He’s bounced some ideas off his friend Ed Sheeran and has already laid down some vocals.”
Directioners shouldn't panic though as loyal Harry will not be leaving the band anytime soon, “Harry’s priority is obviously still with 1D,” added the insider “But when he decides the time to go solo has arrived, he’s likely to have a project raring to go.”

One Direction signed an iron-clad three album deal with Simon Cowell at Sony after they finished third on ITV's The X Factor in 2010 meaning Harry and the other boys are committed for at least another album.
As well as their loyalty to each other, Harry would stand to lose out on a lot of money if he did quit the band who are now said to be worth over £25 million. Reports claim their contract states all five members face financial consequences if one decides to quit before the end of the three album deal.
Whatever he's up to it looks like Harry is enjoying some solo time as the star tweeted a picture of himself in LA last week, by a hotel pool. The star revealed he had spent the early part of the week with his family in Cheshire where he celebrated the Jewish Passover before he joined the rest of the boys to continue their mammoth Take Me Home tour.
A band insider attempted to play down the solo reports yesterday, telling The Sun that Harry had in fact been in the studio working on songs for the band’s third album: “The boys always split off and work on ideas for the album. They did the same last time.”
