It comes as no surprise that Doctor Who star Matt Smith receives a lot of fan mail but the actor has admitted that one piece of ahem, sexually explicit, fan mail made it into the hands of his grandad who responded to it!
Recalling how his grandfather was helping him go through his pile, Matt who will be back as the iconic Time Lord when the new series of the show begins on Saturday, told the Times Magazine:
"The first letter he ever opened... was what he described as 'very blue'. But he has a wonderful sense of humour, my granddad. So he get this letter and it opens with, 'I want to...' you know... Well, you know, there was sucking and... and all that stuff involved. It was pretty graphic.
"But anyway, she (the fan who wrote the letter) was about 40 or 50 and asked me to go to her house in Essex, I think it was, and you know, 'take care' of all these things that she was describing."

Revealing that his grandad replied to the letter, Matt continued: "My granddad wrote back, 'Matt isn't available but I'm his granddad and I am.'"
Following the reports that Matt will be leaving his role as the Doctor in the Christmas special, with a source claiming to The Sun: "Matt has told bosses he wants to bow out at Christmas", the BBC hit back after a statement from the BBC read:
"Sorry folks but even we don’t know what’s going to happen at Christmas. It’s not been written yet! But Matt loves the show and is to start filming the unmissable 50th anniversary, and the new series starting on Easter Saturday", according to Digital Spy.
