One Direction star Louis Tomlinson may have his sights set on Hollywood when One Direction decide they want a break from international pop stardom, as the star revealed that as a teen he starred in a film with Les Miserables actor Eddie Redmayne.
How did we not know this before? Well the role was a tiny one as an extra in Like Minds, which featured Mr Redmayne and R-Patz's best pal Tom Sturridge as a pair of troubled teenagers at boarding school.
Released in 2006 the film, by Gregory J Read, was poorly received at the time but via one of the fantastic five it has now found its way into the history books. Tomlinson wrote on Twitter: “Little unknown fact for you all I once did a film with Eddie Redmayne, I was an extra ha! :)”
“It was called Like Minds :),” the star added.
Louis Tomlinson, hidden acting talent? (Photo: WENN)
Tomlinson will get his latest chance to be on the big sdreen this summer, but he won't be doing much acting as its in One Direction documentary This Is Us.
If he were to go into acting Louis wouldn't be the first pop star, or even boyband member to swap catchy ditties for days in front of the camera. Mark Wahlberg was in a former life Marky Mark, rapper extraordinaire, Cher went from warbler to Oscar winner for Moonstruck, while Justin Timberlake went from N*Sync to starring as Napster founder Sean Parker in The Social Network.
Mind you, with the 1D boys success seemingly showing no signs of disappearing, it could be a while before Louis has time to fit anything other than music in.
