Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher should've known love doesn't always last in Hollywood, but clearly when they wed the couple thought they would last forever and decided not to sign a pre nup.
Fast forward eight years and it means that actress Demi, has every right to go after the actor's fortune, who is now thought to be worth $100 million thanks to his lucrative TV contract with Two And A Half Men, which nets him $20 million a year.
The couple split in 2011, following allegations of an affair, but Kutcher didn't file for divorce until December 2012. Moore counter-sued for divorce last week, where she requested spousal support and for Kutcher to pay her legal fees, according to court documents filed in California.
“When they first got together Demi was worth a considerable amount more than Ashton, but obviously that’s changed – drastically!” A source told RadarOnline.
“Ashton is now worth at least $100 million whereas Demi’s not been bringing in the big bucks for years.”

While Kutcher has a lucrative contract for his TV roles, it seems some savy technology investment has also paid off.
“Ashton has his Two and a Half Men contract, which pays him a cool $20 million a year,” a source told the site, “and he’s also invested in several very successful internet startups including Skype and Foursquare. Ashton also has a very successful production company and a lucrative endorsement deal with Nikon.”
They added: “Demi doesn’t know the full extent of Ashton’s finances, but trust me, she will before a divorce settlement is finally reached!”
The motivation for the split is said to be “revenge,” for the hurtful split Kutcher put the 50 year-old through.
“Demi is still really p*ssed off at Ashton,” a source previously told the site.
“He humiliated her and then he treated her badly, which she didn’t expect and it really made her mad. She basically wants to hurt him the way he hurt her, and this is the only way she knows how.”
