Demi Moore filed for divorce from Ashton Kutcher yesterday and while that didn't come as much of a surprise as the couple split 16 months ago but what did shock was the actress' request for her ex to pay her financial support and legal fees in their settlement a decision taken, insiders claim, for the star to get revenge on her ex-husband.
The 50 year-old split with Kutcher following allegations he'd cheated with waitress Sara Leal on their sixth wedding anniversary in September 2011. While neither have addressed the claims, insiders insist asking for the money, despite being richer than him, was a way of getting back at him.
A source told TMZ, Kutcher was a “bad husband,” and Demi was “really hurt,” by him, hinting it was her way to get revenge.
Multiple sources claim the couple are currently negotiating a financial settlement with Moore's legal team knowing the more the ask for, the better the settlement will be in the end, but she probably won't get the spousal support.

Forbes magazine has estimated Kutcher to have earned a staggering £16 million during the period May 2011 and May 2012, five months of which he was still with Moore, making him the highest paid TV actor in Hollywood.
The New York Post reported earlier this week that arguments over the financial settlement could see the couple thrash out their divorce in court after insiders claimed the two parties had grown “hostile”.
“After over a year of attempting to reach a settlement, Demi is definitely ready to move on,” an insider said. “It’s hoped lawyers for both sides can reach a settlement this spring, otherwise the divorce will go into litigation and trial.”
“Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi — a lot more than she made — but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn’t owe her that much,” the source revealed, explaining that the mum of three, “has had enough.”
