Beyonce Knowles and Salma Hayek have joined forces with Gucci to launch a global campaign to promote female empowerment.
Beyonce's told us time and time again that girls run the world, but it seems her songs aren't doing enough to drive home the message.

Now she's stepped up her game and joined forces with Gucci to raise funds in support of education, health and justice projects for girls and women around the world.
The Chime For Change initiative will share “powerful stories” about inspiring females... and who better than Beyonce to head up a campaign like that?
“I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be,” said our favourite singer.
Gucci is known for its ties with women's charities, enjoying a seven-year partnership with UNICEF in support of girls’ education. The label also founded two female film awards - the Spotlighting Women Documentary Award and the Gucci Award for Women in Cinema with the Venice Film Festival.
Influential individuals making up an advisory board of experts and global advocates for the campaign include Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Jada Pinkett Smith, Francois-Henri Pinault, Gordon and Sarah Brown and Arianna Huffington.
We have a feeling it'll be a success...
